Art on Palm Artists contribute to the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre California

Creative Arts Group (CAG) was founded in 1960 by six couples to provide quality, community based, art experiences and instruction.

Originally housed in the old Adobe on Montecito Avenue, the art center moved to its current location at 108 North Baldwin in 1974 when a fire destroyed the adobe.  In 1983 Creative Arts Group purchased the building on North Baldwin, and in 1990 the building was expanded and new classrooms were added to accommodate an ever-increasing enrollment.   The only non-profit art center in Sierra Madre, Creative Arts Group is a community treasure contributing to the enjoyment of creative life for generations through classes and workshops in the arts for children and adults.  In addition, Creative Arts Group offers special museum and art-related tours, free community art projects for children and families, the ImaginArt program for students at the local elementary school, scholarships, artists receptions featuring established and emerging artists, an annual exhibition for Alverno High School as well as operating the Jameson Gallery for local artists to sell their work.  Creative Arts Group also hosts an annual Art Festival, the annual Art of the Garden tour in the spring, and the annual community Scarecrow Festival in the fall. The environment at Creative Arts Group fosters a sense of community with students of all ages and abilities in a wide range of creative interests.  With the efforts of many dedicated friends and volunteers CAG continues to grow steadily, always striving to give each person a positive creative experience.

Quote from Kristin Naran, Executive Director

“Creative Arts Group is thrilled to have been chosen as the non-profit being supported by Art On Palm.  It is an honor to be affiliated with such a high caliber show and such talented, generous artists.  We truly appreciate Art On Palm and all those who support art in our community.”

Arlington Garden

Arlington Garden is Pasadena's only dedicated public garden.  Home to 350 trees and thousands of Mediterranean climate plants, the Garden's extensive use of decomposing granite trails lead you from one inviting environment to another.  From blooming California natives, cactus and succulents, to majestic Sycamores and Oaks, you'll explore with ease and be lured by the enticing aromas from Orange blossoms to native Sage.  It's truly impossible to adequately describe Arlington Garden in a few paragraphs.

Enjoy their story at www.arlingtongardenpasadena.org.  And, best of all, visit in person.
